Guna Miķelsone (1990) has graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia and Riga Art and Design Secondary School. Since 2012 Miķelsone illustrates books and creates sand animation. She is the illustrator of a monthly magazine “Catholic Church Herald”. Some of her illustrated books are Mana mīļā Latvija [My Dear Latvia] by Dace Priede in 2015, Stāsti atvērtām sirdīm [Stories for the Open Hearts] by Daiga Kaže in 2020 and others. Miķelsone also creates everyday comic stories; her Pankūku cepšana [Baking Pancakes] caricature was included in the Arterritory coloring book “Par Labāku Pasauli”.
