“Latvian Literature” Attends The Bookseller's Marketing

Today, 27th June, the “Latvian Literature” platform representative Juta Pīrāga is visiting London and attending The Bookseller's Marketing & Publicity Conference dedicated to book publishing and marketing.

The programme this year is built around the concept of “Changing Gears”. For some, it means changing how they get ready for big events, for some, it is about coming up with the best book title, and for others – staying creative and sane against all odds. Among the leading British publishing houses, authors and renowned market experts, the “Latvian Literature” platform is the only international guest invited by “The Bookseller” to attend the conference. Juta Pīrāga will be giving a presentation about the platform’s experience when creating the 2018 cultural programme and publicity campaign in the UK, namely when Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia were the Market Focus countries at The London Book Fair. Pīrāga will also elaborate on the creation and development of the internationally acclaimed #iamintrovert campaign.

“We had previously successfully collaborated with “The Bookseller” when creating the London Book Fair 2018 supplement fully dedicated to Latvian literature. We repeatedly printed ads with the main character of our #iamintrovert campaign – the introverted Latvian writer I. – inviting the visitors across London and at the Frankfurt Book Fair to the Latvian exhibition stand. I’m happy to see our work so highly appreciated and to have our rather young team invited to share their experience with world-class professionals in the field,” Juta Pīrāga revealed.
