Last December, Lithuanian publisher of children's books "Debesy ganyklos" (Terra Publica) in Kaunas published the widely known Latvian children's book "Ucipuci meklē mājas" ("Ucipuci Is Looking for Home", "Ucipuci izdevniecība", author Zane Zusta, illustrated by Evija Timma-Novika and translated by Audrius Musteikis, 2015).
The book was published in 3000 copies and instantly reached the top three of the publisher' bestselling books. When coming out with new books, the company focuses on education, thus the Ucipuci's story and her search for knowledge enticed our neighbors. The publishing house calls itself patriotic and often prioritizes their own works, extremely carefully selecting foreign authors. This February, Zane Zusta will be visiting the Vilnius Book Fair as an honorary guest and present the book to the young Lithuanian readers.
