Jānis Elsbergs (1969) is a poet and translator; a son of Vizma Belševica and a brother of Klāvs Elsbergs. Jānis Elsbergs has a degree in Philology of University of Latvia and has worked as a Latvian and English language teacher as well as an editor in various Latvian literary magazines during 1990s. His first two collections of poems were published under a pseudonym Jānis Ramba.
