The Latvian Literature platform is announcing this year’s SECOND open call for foreign PUBLISHERS AND TRANSLATORS offering an opportunity to receive a grant for translating and publishing Latvian literature abroad.
We invite individuals/translators and legal persons/publishers who have experience working with Latvian authors or have interest in publishing or translating Latvian literature to take part in the grant competition.
The deadline for applications is May 27th, 2024 (23:59 East European time). Only online submissions are accepted. Please read the guidelines of the grant program and submit your project applications HERE.
NB! Please note that there are two different sections: “FOR PUBLISHERS” and “FOR TRANSLATORS”. Within five days after the dead-line, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that your application has been received. The submitted projects will be evaluated by a jury of experts. The projects receiving financial support will be announced till June 14th, 2024.
The grant program is financed by The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
