Want to become a translator? Apply for a mentorship!
We are scouting for people who would like to translate Latvian literature into French, Polish, Swedish or Norwegian. Prior knowledge of Latvian is required. During the 5 months of the programme, the participants will be working on a sample translation of a work of Latvian literature under the mentorship of an experienced translator. The programme is free of charge.

1. a short motivation letter (in Latvian or English),
2. sample translation of your choice into one of above-mentioned languages – 5 pages (9000 - 10 000 characters) for prose or 5 poems, along with the corresponding source text.
