Biography
Maya Gogoladze was born in 1963, in Tbilisi, Georgia, studied journalism at the Lomonosov University in Moscow, and earned her MA in Communications, Politics and Psychology at Werstfälische-Wilhelms University in Münster, Germany. She is a journalist, writer and translator, and the winner of Georgia’s 2001 Bestseller Award. She is experienced in translating from German, English and Russian languages.
Gogoladze translated the collection The Latvian Little Prose into Georgian, including short stories from Aija Lace, Andra Neiburga, Gundega Repse, Janis Einfelds, Nora Ikstena and Inga Abele.
