Laimantas Jonušys (b. 1957) is a Lithuanian translator and literary critic. Translated over 30 books from English into Lithuanian (novels, historical, philosophical works), by George Steiner, Truman Capote, Salman Rushdie, John Banville, John Updike, Vladimir Nabokov, Virginia Woolf and others. Author of: “Laisvės šiokiadienis” (Weekday of Freedom, 2007) articles and essays on politics and culture; “Rūmas virš bedugnės” (A Mansion over an Abyss, 2008) articles and essays on literature; “Pokalbiai su Sigitu Parulskiu” (Conversations with Sigitas Parulskis, 2009). In recent years has translated some short works from Latvian language by Kārlis Vērdiņš, Eriks Ādamsons, Dace Vīgante, Vladis Spāre, Jānis Joņevs and a novel Kalendārs mani sauc by Andris Kalnozols.
