János Pusztay (1948) is professor emeritus of Uralic languages at the Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary and a translator. He is a renowned Hungarian linguist and a coordinator of the International Fenno-Ugric People’s Consultative Committee. As an organizer in the academic sphere a key area for him is the inclusion of the Baltic region into Hungarian higher education, popularizing the culture and the languages of the region.
