Daniel Łubiński (Dans Lubinskis) is a translator who is a native of Riga and who was raised in a bilingual Polish-Latvian environment. He has been living in Poland since the early 1990s. He graduated in Latvian Philology and he is currently teaching Latvian language, literature and literary translation at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. He has translated a wide variety of literary texts, from poems, short stories, novels, and children's books, to theatre plays, essays, articles, and film scripts. In 2022, he served as a mentor for an emerging Polish literary translators seminar organized by the Latvian Literature Platform, and is a proud member of the Polish Literary Translator's Association.
