Raimonds Ķirķis (1997) is a poet, poetry translator and a literary critic. He graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture and works at Rainis and Aspazija House-Museum in Rīga. In 2019 his debut collection of poems Kartes [Maps] was published by Neputns. In 2021 his book of poetry Levitācijas [Levitations] co-written with Lauris Veips about 10th President of Latvia Egīls Levits was published. Ķirķis has translated poetry of Wystan Hugh Auden, Sohrab Sepehri, Forough Farrokhzad and others into Latvian, as well as Martin Andrew Crimp’s English version of Molière’s play The Misanthrope for the Liepāja Theatre production. He has written for theatre and performs his poetry in production Netikumīgie (The Wicked), directed by Krista Burāne at Dirty Deal Teatro. In 2019 Ķirķis received the Normunds Naumanis Annual Award of The Young Critic.
