Dainis Deigelis (1983) is a Latvian poet and translator. In 2002 he published his very first poem Dzīves noslēpums [The Secret of Life]. His poems were published in Dzirkstele, Ziemeļlatvija, Alūksnes Ziņas and Kultūras Diena magazines. In 2018 Deigelis translated collection of poems by Galina Rimbu Cosmic Prospect together with Einārs Pelšs and Arvis Viguls. God Comes is Deigelis’ first collection of poems and it was nominated for the Annual Latvian Literary Award Best Debut.
